Research Stay at Newnham College, Cambridge University

The aim of my invited research stay at Newnham College, Cambridge University, is to establish formal collaboration between the elite Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement and the Centre for Tourism, Innovation and Culture, University of Southern Denmark. We will achieve this through inclusion of tourism within migration research and contribution to the SDGs. We will train doctoral and early career researchers to work with mobile methods, tourism-migration encounters, and the SDGs. Through collaborative design, we will bring together local artists, community change leaders, creative citizens and academics, to break down barriers ‘Town’ and ‘Gown’, local and visitor, and connect people to place in a spirit of hospitality and sustainability.
